Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 25, 2026

Modular Performance Systems ("MPS", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you use our app and website, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

  • Account information. When you sign in (with Google, with your email and password, or with your phone number), we receive the information you provide — which may include your name, email address, phone number, and profile photo.
  • Data you log. The content you enter into the app — workouts, habits, recovery/sleep, expenses, and journal entries — is stored so the app can show it back to you.
  • Payment information. If you subscribe, payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number; Stripe handles it directly.
  • Technical data. Basic information your browser sends (such as device type and general usage) that helps the app run and improve.

How we use your information

  • To provide the app and show you your own tracking data.
  • To sync your data across your devices.
  • To process subscriptions and manage your plan.
  • To maintain security and improve the product.

How your data is stored

Your account and tracking data are stored in Google Firebase (Firestore). Security rules restrict access so that you can only read and write your own data — no other user can see it.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers that make MPS work — Google / Firebase (sign-in and storage), Stripe (payments), Vercel (hosting), MailerLite (email delivery), and Make (automation) — and only as needed to provide the service. Each provider is permitted to use your data only to perform its service for us.

Your choices

  • You can view and edit your tracking data at any time inside the app.
  • You can request a copy of your data or ask us to delete your account by emailing us.

Health, fitness & biometric data

The data you log includes health- and fitness-related information (such as workouts, sleep, and recovery). If you choose to connect a wearable device or enter biometric information, we receive that data only to provide the features you request. We do not sell biometric data or use it to identify you to third parties. Where the law requires it (including the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act and similar state laws), we obtain your consent before collecting biometric identifiers, tell you how long we keep them, and delete them when they are no longer needed. You can disconnect a wearable or request deletion of this data at any time by emailing us.

AI and product improvement

We may use de-identified and aggregated data to operate, secure, and improve MPS, including to develop and improve features and models. We do not use your personal identifying information to train models without your consent, and we do not sell your data. You can opt out of having your data used to improve our models — and request access to or deletion of your data — by emailing us or through your account settings where available.

How long we keep your data

We keep your account and tracking data for as long as your account is active. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal data within 90 days, except where the law requires us to keep certain records longer (for example, transaction and tax records, up to 7 years). Backups are cycled and overwritten on a rolling basis. Biometric data, if any, is kept only as long as needed for the feature you requested, then deleted.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain uses. If you are in the EU or UK, we process your data to provide the service you request and for our legitimate interest in operating and improving MPS, and you may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. If you are in California, we do not sell or "share" your personal information and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. To exercise any right, email jeff@modular-performance.com and we will respond as required by law.

Children

MPS is intended only for adults aged 18 and older. It is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18 (including children under 13). If we learn we have collected data from someone under 18, we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above, and for material changes we will give notice by email or in the app before the change takes effect, consistent with our User Agreement.
